After graduating from Eastern New Mexico University, she joined the office of Congressman Sam Johnson, where she served for ten years. Following her time with the U.S. House of Representatives, Deanna was appointed as Chief of Staff for Texas State Representative Scott Turner after successfully running this campaign for office. When Representative Turner decided not to run for re-election four years later, Deanna transitioned into the private sector, where she consulted with businesses, non-profits, and campaigns. In her spare time, Deanna serves on numerous boards and commissions throughout the community. She and her husband of 16 years, Chuck, reside in McKinney.
