COVID-19 Update

Based on the current situation around COVID-19, the DFWAE Board of Directors has made the decision to move DFWAE Association Day 2020 to a two-day virtual event. This event will give attendees the opportunity to view breakout sessions in all tracks (Executive/CEO, Association Operations and Innovation, Marketing/Communications/Membership, and Education/Events) and access up to 12 CAE credits.

Please register here and mark your calendars for April 20th and 21st, 9:00 am – 4:00 pm each day to tune into any and all sessions that you find valuable. A list of breakout topics can be found here and a final schedule and connection information will be provided leading up to the event.

Give Back to Our Community

The Dallas Fort Worth Association Executives will be supporting Our Friends Place. Any support you can offer these young women in our local area is greatly appreciated!

Mission: To help young women break generational cycles of abuse, neglect, poverty and homelessness through empowering self-reliance and independence.

Since 1987, Our Friends Place has created positive influence that ignites generational change, empowering an underserved population in Dallas of single young women who experience abuse, neglect, poverty and homelessness to excel, grow, and flourish. Our Friends Place provides two programs:

  1. Transitional Living Centers to house women in need
  2. SOAR to Success homeless prevention program for young women to develop life skills.

Every year Our Friends Place houses an average of 40 homeless young women and mentors hundreds of at-risk youth to prevent homelessness. You can learn more about getting involved on their website: ourfriendsplace.org
